~ air travel from Shanghai Pudong, China to Pyongyang, North Korea;
~ visa arrangement and application fee to North Korea;
~ 2.5 nights stay in Pyongyang;
~ 3 breakfasts, 3 lunches and 3 dinners;
~ all transportation while in Pyongyang;
~ service of an appointed trip leader, local guide and driver;
~ official running shirt, finisher’s medal and race certificate;
~ sightseeing as illustrated in the itinerary.
~ 50% of total tour price is required at the time of booking. Full or balance payment is required 60 days prior to departure.
~ Purchase your air tickets to Shanghai only when you have been notified of your participation guarantee.
~ Should you require a visa to enter China because of the transit, it is your responsibility to obtain such document before departure.
~ It is mandatory that all runners booked on this trip to purchase comprehensive travel insurance. You will not be able to join the trip and may denied check-in at Shanghai Airport if you do not have a travel insurance that will cover your visit in North Korea. There is no refund to the trip price paid if you are denied. You must check and confirm with your insurer that North Korea is covered before you purchase. We can provide this insurance if you do not have one.
~ Upon receiving your booking, you will be required to provide your personal information in details as part of the registration and North Korea’s visa application process. You must disclose all details truthfully and to the best of your knowledge. Any inaccuracy of information if discovered will place our working relationship and position in jeopardy and will be compromised. We seek your kind understanding.
~ There is no guarantee on the success of visa application to North Korea. We cannot confirm the application of visa until it is actually issued which takes place only a few days before your departure to North Korea. If for any reason we cannot get you a visa, Travel Wander and its operator cannot be held liable for the travel expenses incurred in getting to Shanghai. You will receive a refund of any money paid to Travel Wander minus the visa application fee.
~ Please be aware that whilst we and our operator do the utmost for our runners, you are under very strict regulations as to what you can and cannot do in North Korea. This is non-negotiable. Therefore, It is only advisable to visit North Korea if you can tolerate being under close scrutiny from the guides and security; if you are happy just to be taken around the 'system', then you will have the most amazing experience.
~ If the above pose a problem to you, it is advisable that you do not sign up and visit North Korea as the actions of the runners who are not aware of their actions will impose serious trouble to the guide who has been assigned to take care of us.
~ If you are a journalists and photographers (full or part-time), the laws of North Korea prohibits you travelling to the country on tourist visa. We are unable to accept your registration. We thank you for your understanding.
~ Because running requires certain level of cardio and stamina exertion, it is not suitable for members with chronic and/or acute disease. Please consider your physical condition before booking. Members must ensure they are medically and physically able to run.
~ Our utmost priority is always the safety of the runners. Therefore inclusion of the itinerary may be altered by the race organizer and/or Travel Wander and its operator due to (not limited to) bad weather, local conditions, accommodation book out, the skill levels of the runners and/or other unexpected circumstancesbeyond our control. We reserve the right to make changes necessary and there will be no refund should you decide to discontinue with the trip.
~ As the flight arrives late into Shanghai Pudong Airport on 12th April, you may wish to book a room at one of the recommended airport hotels before connecting your flight back to Singapore. Travel Wander can assist you in the room booking. The recommended hotels are,
1) Airport Hotel Shanghai Pudong (Dazhong) < 大众空港宾馆 >, located between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, walking distance : 5 minutes.
2) Jinjiang Inn Shanghai Pudong Airport II Hotel, scheduled shuttle bus available and leaves Terminal 1 near Exit 6. Last bus at 2330 hours. Information subject to change without prior notice.
3) Ramada Plaza Pudong Airport Hotel, scheduled shuttle bus available and leaves Terminal 1 from opposite Gate 9. Last bus at 0010 hours. Information subject to change withour prior notice.
