Itinerary
Day 1 Arrive Ho Chi Minh City
Begin your journey by meeting guide at the Airport, then set off to uncover the rich history of Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), the former capital of French Indochina. Your morning will be spent marveling at the city’s iconic landmarks, starting with the 19th-century General Post Office, a stunning blend of Gothic and Renaissance architecture. Just nearby stands the Notre Dame Cathedral, an enduring symbol of French colonial influence, built with materials imported from France. Continue to the elegant Saigon Opera House, a masterpiece of colonial design dating back to 1897, before stepping into history at the Reunification Palace. This historic site, once the presidential residence of South Vietnam, witnessed the dramatic fall of Saigon in 1975, marking a pivotal moment in Vietnam’s story.
After the exploration, transfer to your hotel for a short rest and refresh before the evening’s adventure. As the sun sets, Saigon transforms into a vibrant playground of lights, flavours, and energy—and there’s no better way to experience it than from an open-top jeep. Your nighttime escapade will take you through the city’s lively streets, where the aroma of sizzling street food fills the air. Let your guide lead you to hidden culinary gems, from bustling sidewalk stalls to no-reservation eateries known only to locals. Along the way, you’ll weave through narrow alleys, vibrant markets, and lesser-known neighborhoods, discovering the city’s dynamic pulse after dark.
The evening culminates with panoramic views along the Saigon River, where the glittering skyline reflects on the water – a perfect finale to your first day.
