Day 2                   Shenzhen

In a city known for its fast pace hides a “hidden forest sanctuary” where time seems to slow down. Instead of the pressure of towering skyscrapers, here you’ll find a “red ribbon” floating among the treetops, along with three futuristic white bridges suspended above a valley. This is one of Shenzhen’s most popular hiking routes in recent years.

Dadingling Greenway 大顶岭绿道 stretches for about 6.4 kilometres. Along the way, the most remarkable sights are the three iconic bridges known as the “Three Bridges” –

Floating Bridge (Bridge of Technology): the most futuristic-looking of the three. It consists of three white circular platforms of varying sizes, arranged in a staggered pattern as if “floating” above the forest.

Exploration Bridge (Bridge of Playfulness): Located at the bottom of a valley, the Exploration Bridge is shaped like a giant tennis racket. Its deck is made of elastic rope netting, giving it a slight bounce and sway when you walk on it – a favorite spot for families with children.

Suspension Bridge (Bridge of Courage): the most challenging of the three, it spans a valley, measuring 90 metres in length and standing 30 metres above the valley floor. As you walk, the bridge sways slightly, giving you a thrilling “tightrope-walking” sensation. It’s also the best vantage point for panoramic view* of urban area, evoking a sense of grandeur.

The centerpiece of Hongqiao Park 虹桥公园 is a 4-kilometre-long red elevated walkway, with an average height of about 8 metres. From a bird’s-eye view, this vibrant red bridge winds through dense forests and between emerald lakes, resembling a red ribbon fluttering in the wind – a striking sight against the green landscape.

Hiking Distance: approx. 7 – 9 KM

Accumulated Elevation: +220 M / -230 M

Day 3                   Shenzhen

Stretching along the eastern coast of Shenzhen, the Yantian Seaside Boardwalk 盐田海滨栈道 is a stunning 19.5-kilometre coastal greenway that ranks among the city’s most spectacular hiking routes. Known as one of the “most beautiful coastal boardwalks in Shenzhen, this pathway traces the “golden coastline” and passing through the vibrant beach communities along the way.

Our route will cover the crown jewel of the entire route, approximately close to 10 kilometres of prime coastal hiking that showcases the best of what Yantian has to offer. This stretch seamlessly connects urban landscapes, industrial port views, and natural coastal scenery, offering hikers an ever-changing panorama that captures the essence of Shenzhen’s coastal identity.

Meal: Breakfast, (packed) Lunch, Dinner

Stay: 4* hotel

Hiking Distance: approx. 10 – 13 KM

Accumulated Elevation: +360 M / -429 M

Day 4                   Shenzhen

Towering 753 metres above sea level, Meishajian 梅沙尖  stands as Shenzhen’s 4th highest peak, a dramatic cone-shaped mountain that rises sharply from the surrounding landscape. This majestic peak gets its name from its appearance, like a giant sharp spire piercing the sky from the rolling mountains below.

What makes Meishajian truly special is its position. From the summit, witness one of Shenzhen’s most spectacular panoramas*: the bustling Yantian Port, the turquoise bays, the serene reservoir. On clear days, even distant peaks can be seen. The completion of a brand-new 360° viewing platform at the summit offers unobstructed view* of the surrounding.

Meishajian’s ascent is characterised by a long, dramatic staircase that winds its way up the mountainside. From certain angles, the steps appear to ascend directly into the sky – hence its nickname as Shenzhen’s “most beautiful sky ladder”. The path is well-maintained and rewards climbers with constantly improving views. This “stairway to heaven” is a favorite among hikers for a good challenge and photography’s sake.

For hikers who do not need a challenge, may consider to opt for the Fast-Track alternative#.

Today’s hiking will terminate at Yunhai Park 云海公园 with a modern library, café, and some great view*.

Later in the afternoon, unwind and relax in luxury wellness centre which offers more than just a spa; it is an “urban micro-vacation” destination that integrates spa wellness, food and beverages plus  leisure entertainment.

Meal: Breakfast, (packed) Lunch, Dinner

Stay: 4* hotel

Hiking Distance: approx. 7 KM

Accumulated Elevation: +486 M / -455 M
